Running back Jordan Scarlett and Raines product Rick Wells suspended

GAINESVILLE, FLa. – Florida Gators running back Jordan Scarlett and wide receiver Rick Wells, a Raines High School alum, were both suspended by head coach Jim McElwain.
Scarlett, who and Wells were suspended from all team activities. Both were involved in a debit card scam that left seven other Gators suspended for Saturday's season opener against Michigan.

Scarlett ran for 889 yards and 6 touchdowns last season and is expected to be the leading rusher for the Gators in 2017.
Wells redshirted last year, his first in Gainesville. Last year, Wells was charged with criminal mischief after he and Tyrie Cleveland shoot BB guns at their on-campus housing, breaking three windows.
