“The North Florida Athletic Department announced an indefinite suspension of team activities for the men’s basketball program including its ASUN opening games at Stetson this weekend (Jan. 1 & 2) due to a positive COVID result and contact tracing protocol.”

The Ospreys opened the season with a 2-8 record against a difficult schedule that included games against North Carolina State, Miami and Florida State. They were scheduled to face Florida as well, but the game was canceled after Gators’ forward Keyontae Johnson collapsed on the court and was hospitalized.

On the schedule after the Stetson double-header is two games against Kennesaw State Jan. 8 and 9 in Jacksonville. There is no word whether those games will be played.
