1. (1) Episcopal (6-0, Class 1A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Harrison (Ga.), Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek.
Notable: The Eagles have beaten Bartram Trail three straight seasons now, including last week’s 13-12 win over the Bears. They followed that with a 15-1 thrashing of Creekside. Episcopal has a brutal week coming up with Vero Beach (Thursday), Jensen Beach (Friday) and Benjamin (Saturday).
2. (3) Bartram Trail (5-2, Class 2A)
Quality win: Bishop Moore, Viera.
Notable: The Bears went 2-1 since our last Super 6, losing a 13-12 game to Episcopal and then walloping St. Augustine (18-6) and a quality Bishop Moore (12-6). Up next for the Bears are unbeaten Delray American Heritage (Tuesday) and Nease (Thursday).
3. (2) Ponte Vedra (2-3, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Harrison (Ga.), St. Thomas Aquinas
Notable: The Sharks lost to unbeaten Tampa Plant 11-8 since our last Super 6. Not a bad loss for Ponte Vedra. The Sharks’ losses this year are to Episcopal, Delray American Heritage and Plant, teams who are a combined 18-0.
4. (4) Bolles (6-1, Class 1A)
Quality win: Gulf Breeze, Nease, South Walton.
Notable: The Bulldogs went 4-0 since our last Super 6, beating Fleming Island (19-3) and Creekside (11-6), then handing Gulf Breeze (8-5) and South Walton (9-8). Big local game on Tuesday at Tocoi Creek before a long spring break.
5. (5) Tocoi Creek (4-2, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Menendez, West Orange.
Notable: The Toros went 1-1 since our last Super 6, losing to a very good Oak Hall (12-4) and then edging West Orange (10-9). Busy week ahead with Bolles (Tuesday), Beachside (Thursday) and then unbeaten Cherokee, Ga. (Friday) on deck.
6. (NR) Nease (3-4, Class 2A)
Quality win: Fletcher.
Notable: The Panthers have loss to teams who are a combined 24-3, so they’re not playing paperweights. They have Atlantic Coast (Tuesday) and Bartram Trail (Thursday) up this week.
