1. (1) Trinity Christian (17-3, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Baldwin, Beachside, Bishop Snyder, Columbia, Creekside, Florida Christian, Lincoln, Lowndes (Ga.), Marist (Ga.), Newberry, North Marion (twice), Oakleaf, Providence, Tocoi Creek, University Christian.

Notable: The Conquerors are dealing. Trinity upped its winning streak to six games, including quality Ws over defending Class 7A Georgia state champ Lowndes (7-4), a 7-2 win over a very good Tocoi Creek and a 4-3 win in eight innings over Oakleaf. Brady Harris and Aiden Arnett are both hitting near .400, excellent numbers against this type of schedule. Aaron Watson has 66 Ks, a 5-0 mark and a 0.64 ERA to lead a wicked tough pitching staff.

2. (2) Creekside (15-7, Class 7A)

Quality wins: Bolles, Clay, Columbia, Hagerty, Hillgove (Ga.), Lincoln, Lowndes (Ga.), North Marion, Providence, Spruce Creek, St. Joseph, Windermere.

Notable: The Knights remain on the warpath. They beat Lowndes (2-1) and Beachside (7-3) since our last Super 6 and are 12-3 since from March until now. They round out the regular season against No. 4 St. Johns Country Day (Friday), Bishop Kenny (April 10) and DeLand (April 11). Connor Balazic (.523, 4 HR) leads the Knights.

3. (3) Bishop Snyder (15-5 Class 2A)

Quality wins: Baldwin, Clay, Columbia, Florida Christian, Neumann, Ponte Vedra, Sandalwood, Suwannee, Tocoi Creek, University Christian.

Notable: The Cardinals have turned things around quickly, ripping off a seven-game winning streak that included a high quality W over Clay (5-0) since our last Super 6. The most difficult games left for Snyder are Bartram Trail (April 8) and Bolles (April 10). Tripp Hannah is hitting .429, followed by Cody Boshell (.333, 5 HR, 13 RBI) and Josh Murray (.309). Boshell and Cole Dennis have combined for eight of Snyder’s 15 wins on the mound.

4. (4) St. Johns Country Day (14-7, Class 1A)

Quality win: Baldwin, Clay, Lowndes (Ga.), Maclay, Middleburg, Neumann, Oakleaf, Valdosta (Ga.), Suwannee

Notable: The defending 1A state champs went 2-1 since our last Super 6, beating Providence (4-0) and reigning Georgia Class 7A state champ Lowndes (7-2). They lost 8-5 to a red-hot Richmond Hill, a quality 6A team from the Peach State. Tough close to the week with Creekside on Friday. TJ Sunderhaus (.416, 3 HR, 15 RBI), Preston Cole (.397, 5 HR, 15 RBI), Hunter Rodgers (.312, 4 HR, 16 RBI and Brayden Harris (.311, 11 RBI) lead the offense. Cole went deep twice in the loss to Richmond Hill. Rodgers committed to Jacksonville University this week. Harris remains one of the area’s best arms (6-0, 0.64 ERA, 85 Ks, 43.2 IP).

5. (NR) Providence (14-8, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Benedictine, Bishop Snyder, Bolles, Clarksville (Tenn.), Clay, Episcopal, John Carroll Catholic, Palatka, Ponte Vedra, Tocoi Creek, University Christian.

Notable: The Stallions return to the Super 6 after a week out. They beat quality teams in Benedictine and Tocoi Creek since our last Super 6. Locally, Providence’s only losses at to Bartram Trail, St. Johns Country Day and Trinity Christian.

6. (NR) Episcopal (17-5, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Benedictine, Christ’s Church, First Coast, Fletcher, Newberry, St. Joseph, Sandalwood

Notable: The Eagles are back in the Super 6 after three consecutive wins, including a high quality W over St. Joseph. The schedule hasn’t been the most difficult when you take out the losses to stronger local teams but the Eagles get the nod over Clay and Columbia for the final spot this week.
