Florida Gateway College coasts to 3rd straight national flag football title
Florida Gateway College won its third consecutive National Junior College Athletic Association championship on Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri with a 68-13 romp over Daytona State. (NJCAA)
The Florida Gateway College women’s flag football team is the best in the nation again.
The Timberwolves won their third consecutive National Junior College Athletic Association championship on Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri with a 68-13 romp over Daytona State.
Former Ed White High School star Tremesha Harris was named the national tournament’s most valuable player. Florida Gateway walloped fifth-seeded Pratt (Kansas) 67-0 in the semifinal to get to the title game.
The Timberwolves finished 18-3.
