High school football ‘25: Raines romp headlines Friday night scoreboard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – High school football is nearing the midway point of the regular season.

Bolles and Mandarin came away with wins in their Super 10 showdowns on Friday night, but it was Raines that drove home an exclamation point in Week 4.

The Vikings went on the road and blasted Lake Mary 51-3 on Friday night, a thunderous, statement win for quarterback Timothy Cole and Raines (3-0).

Cole threw a touchdown pass to Ziyon Butler to put Raines up 7-3 and the onslaught continued. Butler and Eddie Hinton also took punts back for touchdowns. Cole and Tony Williams also had rushing touchdowns for the Vikings.

No. 1 St. Augustine got a big scare from winless Riverside before pulling away for a 47-41 win in the Backyard. The Yellow Jackets (4-0) head into a Week 5 clash with No. 5 Nease in a major St. Johns County showdown.

Third-ranked Bolles responded from a Week 3 loss to St. Augustine with a 36-0 blowout of No. 10 Bishop Kenny. The Bulldogs (3-1) head into a Week 5 clash at No. 4 Oakleaf in a Varsity 4 Game of the Week matchup. The Knights (4-0) topped Hawthorne 35-26 in a huge win on Friday night.

No. 6 Mandarin evened things up with Bradford, using two Brysen Wright touchdowns in a 14-7 win over No. 7 Bradford. The Mustangs (4-0) lost to the Tornadoes last year in Starke. Wright took a punt back for a touchdown and also hauled in his fifth touchdown catch of the season.
