JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Varsity 4 Super 6 high school volleyball rankings will be published each Wednesday during the regular season. Records are through Oct. 7 games.

1. (1) Beachside (22-2, Class 5A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Bishop Kenny (twice(, Bolles, Doral Academy, Episcopal, Gulliver Prep, Lake Highland Prep, Middleburg, New Smyrna Beach, Northside Christian, Ponte Vedra, Providence, South Walton, Tocoi Creek.
Notable: The winning streak ended at 18 games for the Barracudas in a tournament loss to Lake Brantley. They also racked up some quality Ws though, too, sweeping Bishop Kenny, Horizon, Mosley and DME Academy. They added a 2-1 win over Venice. They wrap up the regular season on Wednesday against Ponte Vedra. Beachside has the talent to reach the final four, but it’s going to come down to the regional final against Chiles. Adriana Jeanpierre (298 kills) and Mollie VanDeusen (324 assists, 161 kills), Erica Duffy has 130 kills and 275 assists and Isabella Taveras Seda (360 digs) power the area’s top team.
2. (5) Middleburg (13-10, Class 5A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Bishop Kenny, Fleming Island, Leon, Osceola, Palm Harbor University, Ponte Vedra, Tampa Prep.
Notable: Quality week for the Broncos. They swept Tocoi Creek and previous No. 2 Ponte Vedra. They round out the regular season with games at Bishop Kenny (Thursday) and Trinity Christian (Friday) before district tournament play begisn. Star Camden Rahn has a team-best 244 kills and 160 digs, followed by Kate Lowery (185/133).
3. (2) Ponte Vedra (12-11, Class 5A)
Quality wins: Auburn (Ala.), Bishop Kenny, Boca Raton Christian, Bolles, Daphne (Ala.), Middleburg, Providence, Ridgeview, Trinity Christian.
Notable: The Sharks went 1-1 since our last Super 6, a sweep of Harvest Community and a sweep at the hands of Middleburg. They wind down the regular season on Wednesday at No. 1 Beachside. Vivi Woodbury (143 kills) and Lily Keeley (141 kills) lead the Sharks at the net. Hayden Froehlich remains one of the best setters around (562 assists).
4. (3) Bishop Kenny (15-9, Class 4A)
Quality wins: Bolles, Creekside, Doral Academy, Episcopal, Fleming Island, Mountain Brook (Ala.), Northside Christian, Providence, Ridgeview, Riviera Prep, Santa Fe, Strawberry Crest, True North.
Notable: The Crusaders went 1-1 since our last Super 6, a loss to No. 1 Beachside and a sweep of Bolles. That win over the Bulldogs atones for a 3-1 loss to their biggest rival earlier this season. The regular season finale comes Thursday night against a strong Middleburg. Mattie Wilkey (163 kills, 55 blocks), Chelsea Akakatang (157 kills, 59 blocks) and Lilian Heldenbrand (141 kills) lead Kenny at the net. Sophia Miller (327 assists) and Alexis Sowers (518 digs) top those categories.
5. (4) Fleming Island (17-6, Class 5A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Bolles, Fletcher, Mandarin, Ponte Vedra, Providence, Ridgeview, Santa Fe, Spruce Creek.
Notable: The Golden Eagles went 6-2 since our last Super 6, with quality Ws over Fletcher, Spruce Creek and Santa Fe. The had touanment losses to quality teams in Lake Howell and George Jenkins. The regular season finale is Friday against a very good Harvest Community team. Lillie Eason (258 kills, 178 digs) and Lauren Brosky (258 kills, 144 digs) are excellent at the net. Hazel Williams added more than 150 assists over the past week (463 assists, 56 aces).
T6. (T6) Providence (12-5, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Christ’s Church, Holy Trinity Episcopal, Olympia, Santa Fe, Tocoi Creek, Trinity Christian.
Notable: The Stallions just haven’t played enough. Tuesday’s win over Bartram Trail was their lone win (and game) since our last Super 6. They round out their regular season on Thursday against Episcopal. Isabela Lopez (240 kills) leads Providence at the net. Emma Clifton (420 assists) and Addison Shaw (206 digs) lead those categories.
T6. (6) Trinity Christian (16-7, Class 2A)
Quality wins: Bishop Kenny, Christ’s Church, Fleming Island, Gainesville, Middleburg, Ridgeview, St. Augustine, Timber Creek.
Notable: Trinity edged Tocoi Creek 3-2 in its lone game since our last Super 6. They wrap up the regular season with games against Creekside and Middleburg this week. Nova Hewlett has 261 kills and 156 digs to lead the offense and defense. Emma Hernesman has 464 assists and 148 digs.
