JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars are riding a five-game winning streak into Sunday’s matchup at the Broncos, and quarterback Trevor Lawrence is playing the best football of his career.

After Sunday’s game against the Jets, Lawrence was named AFC offensive player of the week. He finished 20-of-32 for 330 yards and five touchdown passes, adding 51 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. He became the first player in NFL history to post that stat line. His 136.7 passer rating set a single-game career high. His Week 15 performance led the AFC in passing yards, touchdown passes and total touchdowns.

Now the question is whether he can continue that momentum Sunday at Denver, where the top team in the AFC (the Broncos) hosts the conference’s No. 3 team (the Jaguars). Lawrence said he understands the magnitude of the game.

“Yeah, it’s a big game,” Lawrence said. ”I feel like every—last week was a big game. Colts was a big game and this one’s no different. It’s a big game for us, and at this point in this season with where we’re at, when you’ve put yourself in position like we have and obviously like the Broncos have, and like a bunch of teams in the AFC have, every game is huge at the end of the year which is where you want to be. So, I think there’s no secret about how important it is, but it’s still just a game and you’ve got to prepare the same way. You can’t put too much pressure on it. You’ve just got to go out there and play.”

Kickoff Sunday is at 4:05 p.m.
