1. (2) St. Johns Country Day (8-0, Class 1A)

Quality wins: Beachside, Providence, Suwannee, Trinity Christian, University Christian.

Notable: The Spartans won a showdown we’d been waiting years for on Thursday night, topping previous No. 1 Trinity Christian in a 4-3 classic. St. Johns pushed all four runs across in the fifth to hand the Conquerors a loss. Brayden Harris earned the W with 5.2 IP and 10 Ks against his former team. They’ll play the second game in this clash on Friday night. Huge win for the Spartans.

2. (3) Bishop Snyder (8-1, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Baldwin, Central (Ala.), Fernandina Beach, Morgan County (Ga.), Newnan (Ga.), Sandalwood, Suwannee.

Notable: The Cardinalswent 4-1 since our last Super 6, including a big-time 2-1 win over a quality Sandalwood on Thursday night. The loss was to Northridge (Ga.) in the fourth game over a two-day stretch. Not much to ding the Cardinals for at all. Ilias Mamea (.462) and Tanner Upton (.438) are leading the Cardinals at the plate.

3. (4) Creekside (9-1, Class 7A)

Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Beachside, Bolles, Clay, North Marion, St. Joseph, Trinity Christian.

Notable: The Knights are surging. They stretched their winning streak to an area-high nine games with a 4-0 win over rival Bartram Trail on Thursday night. Gavin Duprey went the distance in that one, whiffing seven and scattering three hits. He’s struck out 40 in 22 innings, including a season-high 16 against Clay last month. He’s been elite.

4. (1) Trinity Christian (8-2, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Beachside, Lowndes (Ga.), North Marion, Richmond Hill (Ga.), Suwannee, Tocoi Creek, University Christian.

Notable: The Conquerors went 3-1 since our last Super 6, including solid Ws over UC and North Marion. They dropped the 4-3 showdown against St. Johns, but they get another shot at the Spartans on Friday. Trinity sorely misses ace Aaron Watson in the rotation. One rough inning hurt Ethan Wheeler on Thursday night, but he still whiffed nine. Hated to drop Trinity three spots, but that’s how it went this week.

5. (5) Bartram Trail (7-2, Class 6A)

Quality wins: Bishop Kenny, Clay, Columbia, First Coast, Ponte Vedra, Spruce Creek, St. Augustine.

Notable: The Bears went 2-1 since our last Super 6, with an 11-inning win over Columbia and a 7-0 win over St. Augustine. The loss came to red-hot Creekside. They’ve got the Knights again on Friday night.

6. (NR) Providence (8-2, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Clay, Columbia, Flagler Palm Coast, John Carroll Catholic, Palatka, Sandalwood, University Christian.

Notable: The Stallions have turned things around since a 10-1 loss to St. Johns Country Day. The other L is to Creekside, so Providence isn’t stacking bad losses. They beat solid teams in Clay and Flagler Palm Coast since our last Super 6. They nudge out Fernandina Beach, which lost 1-0 to Bolles on Wednesday.

Fernandina Beach (7-2, Class 3A).
