JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Varsity 4 News4JAX Super 6 boys lacrosse rankings will be published each Tuesday in the regular season. Records are through Feb. March 9 games.

1. (1) Ponte Vedra (9-1, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Bishop Moore, Episcopal, Fletcher, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Catholic, Starr’s Mill (Ga.), Winter Park.
Glance: The Sharks went 3-1 since our last Super 6, topping Bartram Trail (17-3), Episcopal (13-4) and Creekside (22-2). They dropped their first match of the season, a 13-10 loss to 8-1 Jupiter. Ponte Vedra is still the area’s best team.
2. (2) Bolles (12-0, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Buchholz, Cardinal Mooney, Chiles, Fletcher, Nease, Pensacola Catholic, South Walton, St. Edward’s.
Glance: The Bulldogs romped since our last Super 6, racking up one-sided wins over Chiles (16-2), South Walton (12-5) and Matanzas (25-2). The closest game was a 7-5 win over a quality Pensacola Catholic.
3. (3) Episcopal (5-2, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Menendez, Pensacola Catholic, South Walton.
Glance: The Eagles dropped their lone game since our last Super 6, 13-4 to No. 1 Ponte Vedra. Not a bad loss. They’re off for Spring Break until returning March 20 at No. 2 Bolles.
4. (4) Fletcher (5-3, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Gulf Breeze, Providence, St. Augustine.
Glance: Really good week for the Senators. They beat a quality Providence team (10-3) and St. Augustine (10-7), racking up two of their best wins of the season.
5. (6) Nease (6-2, Class 2A)
Notable win: Fleming Island, South Walton, Tocoi Creek.
Glance: The Panthers have won five in a row, including solid Ws over Fleming Island and Tocoi Creek since our last Super 6. The only local loss has been to No. 2 Bolles.
6. (5) Creekside (7-4, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail, St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek.
Glance: The Knights went 2-1 since our last Super 6, beating Beachside and Fernandina Beach handily. The loss was ugly, a 22-2 blowout to No. 1 Ponte Vedra. Hated to leave them in this week after that bad of an L, but Creekside already has wins over teams I’d have swapped them out for (Bartram, St. Augustine).
