Florida Gators Fall Camp Day 1 Thoughts | UF Getting Faster — And the Health Angle Underneath It

Florida Gators Fall Camp Day 1: Sumrall's energy, the Philo-Jones QB race, a faster roster, and Rusty Whitt's injury-fixing plan. (Gators Breakdown)

Florida wrapped Fall Camp Day 1 under Jon Sumrall, and the intel was rolling in — an intense, different energy from the head coach, a QB race between Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones Jr. that’s still wide open, some O-line shuffling, and a Wilson–Hanks scrap I actually loved.

But the bigger story is what’s happening underneath all of it: this roster got a lot faster this offseason, and I get into strength coach Rusty Whitt’s plan to finally fix the injuries that have gutted the Gators — because speed doesn’t matter if your best guys can’t stay on the field.
