Notebook

  • Arik Armstead had a veterans day off.
  • Walker Little, Zach Durfee, and Jack Kiser al missed practice.
  • Wyatt Milum is still working at right tackle. Injury to Walker Little aside, this shows the pecking order at tackle right now. Milum has definitely had some ups and downs but he is moving up the depth chart and is the next man up at tackle right now ... That is if he doesn’t become the guy at right tackle.
  • Jahlani Tavi hasn’t been on the roster for very long but is already showing up. Tavi had a pair of sacks during the Jags team period on Sunday. Defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile on Saturday described Tavi as “a third-down rusher, he can bring something, knows the pass rush games, and has done a good job with that where he’s been. So that’s what was exciting about him for us.” Camp hit that one right on the head with Tavi showing that rush ability in his first live practice with the Jags.
  • Jabbar Muhammad was the story of the offseason program and is still applying pressure. Muhammad is 5-10 and Tanner Koziol is 6-7, quite a substantial height difference. Well, that wasn’t a problem when Muhammad was covering Koziol and they tried to throw a jump ball that way. Muhammad came up with the PBU.
  • Eric Murray came up with another interception, his third of camp.
  • Danny Striggow and Dennis Gardeck both had good days getting after the passer. Striggow showed up with two sacks.
  • Parker Washington makes a play it feels like everyday. I feel like it almost feels so routine from him at this point that the plays fly under the radar sometimes. I don’t know if this is a hot take at this point but I think Washington will lead here Jags in receiving yards this season.
  • Jakboi Meyers and Brian Thomas Jr. showed up and showed out during 1 on 1’s. Meyers ruined Buster Brown’s day twice just leaving him in the dust in the red zone drill. BTJ on the other hand drew a pass interference on one rep and got a mean head top on Jarrian Jones on another rep. Jones was in great position and there wasn’t much he could have done just a great play from BTJ.
