JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – WJXT-TV4, The Local Station, is again the most-watched news for the November 2015 Nielsen ratings period in the Jacksonville television market, winning in local and national news time periods for the month in key demographics.
Outside of news, WJXT was No. 1 in key demos in the 10 a.m.-11 a.m. time period with Dr. Oz. At 9:30 p.m., WJXT also beat the NBC, CBS and FOX networks' primetime averages with Big Bang Theory for key 25-54 demos and people 18-49.
In morning news, News4Jax dominates the 5-6 a.m. hour, earning a 31 share 5-5:30 a.m. for men 18-49. News4JAX at 6 a.m. is No. 1 in all key demos. In women 25-54 at 6 a.m., News4Jax earned a 5.1 rating and a 34 share (compared to WTLV/WJXX 3.3 rating/22 share, WFOX 1.9 rating/13 share and WJAX 0.7 rating/5 share).
The Morning Show (7-9 a.m.), anchored by Jennifer Waugh, Bruce Hamilton and Richard Nunn, is No. 1 in the time period across all key demos, with a 3.3 rating among people 25-54 and a 26 share, beating out all other newscasts, including the national broadcasts of NBC’s Today Show on WTLV (1.6 rating/12 share), CBS This Morning on WJAX (0.6 rating/5 share) and ABC’s Good Morning America on WJXX (0.9 rating/7 share).
In evening news, News4Jax wins every key demo at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. WJXT also took the win for 6 p.m. with women 25-54 and men 18-49 and at 6:30 p.m. for adults and women 25-54 and people, women and men 18-49 vs. the national news.
At 5 p.m. News4Jax is No. 1 in the time period, beating the combined competition in people, women and men 25-54 and and people and men 18-49 with a 3.1 people 25-54 rating and a 19 share (compared to WTLV/WJXX 1.9 rating/12 share and WJAX 0.8 rating/5 share).
News4JAX at 5:30 p.m. is No. 1 in the time period, beating the combined competition in key demos with a 3.4 people 25-54 rating and a 19 share (compared to WTLV/WJXX 2.3 rating/13 share and WJAX 0.9 rating/5 share), and growing 21 percent from November 2014.
News4Jax at 6 p.m., anchored by Mary Baer, Tom Wills, John Gaughan and Sam Kouvaris, finished No. 1 with a 3.6 rating for women 25-54 and a 15 share (compared to WTLV/WJXX 3.4 rating/14 share and WJAX 1.7 rating/7 share).
News4Jax at 6:30 p.m. dominated local and national news with a 3.9 women 25-54 rating and a 14 share (compared to WTLV 3.2 rating/11 share and WJAX 1.7 rating/6 share and WJXX 1.5 rating and 5 share).
The story continued in late news, with dominant wins in The Ten O’Clock News in people, women and men 25-54 and people and men 18-49. At 10 p.m., WJXT is No. 1 with a 2.2 rating for people 25-54 and 6 share (compared to WFOX 1.6 rating/4 share).
