The family hasn’t heard much from investigators with the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office because the investigation is still ongoing. The State Attorney’s Office told News4Jax the charge was reduced in part because witness accounts pointed to Hutto jumping out of the car. “I will dig and I will not stop until I have justice for my daughter and my grandchild,” said Hutto’s mother,The 25-year-old’s mother, Misty Hutto told News4Jax her granddaughter deserves to one day know what happened to her mother. Witnesses told investigators they saw the back door open and close several times while the vehicle was stopped at a stop sign. You can’t drive a car and not be responsible for the people who are in your car,” said Misty Hutto.

YULEE, Fla. - Loved ones of a Yulee woman who died Saturday night falling out of a moving car in Nassauville identified her as 25-year-old Hailey Hutto. Hutto, the mother of an 18-month-old girl, is being remembered by those close to her for her fun-loving personality and outgoing spirit. There is a small memorial growing at the site of the accident at Merlin Drive and Duck Lake Drive. Witnesses driving behind the car told deputies that Collum then drove away and left the woman in the road, but returned sometime later. Collum does not have a driving record in Nassau County, but has two 2019 traffic citations in of Duval County.
