One local Jewish congregation stepped up Thursday to make sure seniors across the community didn’t go without a warm meal, and that the workers of Aging True, who normally deliver those meals, could have the holiday off with their families.

Members of Jacksonville’s Jewish community came together on Christmas morning for an annual tradition of delivering meals to homebound seniors in a program they call “Mitzvah Meals and More.”
