The network is sending its cameras to suburban Des Moines, Iowa, to tape former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo speaking to a breakfast meeting of the Westside Conservative Club. Iowa traditionally holds the nation's first presidential caucuses, and it's never too early for potential candidates to let themselves be known. Believe it or not, C-SPAN has actually begun a presidential campaign cycle even earlier. In February 2005, the network aired speeches by Republican Mitt Romney in South Carolina and Democrat John Edwards in New Hampshire.

Dana Loesch, seeking Limbaugh fans, dislikes 'angry radio'

Radio America announced Tuesday that it had signed Loesch to a multi-year contract extension. She's been doing a show in the same afternoon time slot that Limbaugh occupied since 2014, and is now on about 200 radio stations. On her show, which airs in nearly 200 radio stations, Loesch said she didn't want listeners to feel like they're being lectured to or yelled at. AdRadio America says it has added a handful of stations for Loesch since Limbaugh's death.

Gov. DeSantis’ rise to national prominence amid the pandemic

Ron DeSantis was hailed as a breakout star and potential presidential candidate in 2024. DeSantis, a Trump ally, was also the only Republican to reach double digits (21%) in another CPAC straw poll that included Trump. A Mason-Dixon poll released Tuesday found more than half of registered Florida voters support Ron DeSantis’ performance as the state’s governor. The poll shows that statewide, 53% of respondents approve of how DeSantis is handling his job, 42% disapprove and 5% were undecided. Binder said although it’s the highest approval rating DeSantis has had in a while, it’s not necessarily surprising.

Conservative gathering to feature Trump's false fraud claims
