The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Friday released details and some bodycam footage from the fatal officer-involved-shooting that happened on Jan. 5 at an apartment complex on Egrets Nest Drive.

A deadly officer-involved shooting was the first recorded homicide of 2026 in Jacksonville, and like several deadly JSO-involved shootings last year, it began as a response to a domestic dispute.
