One person is dead after a Tuesday night crash involving a pickup truck and a car on Jacksonville’s northside.

The driver of a Polaris UTV died after rolling over a hill on Jacksonville’s Northside Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - An overturned Gate Petroleum tanker blocked all westbound lanes of Zoo Parkway near Eastport Road from before dawn Friday to nearly 11:30 a.m. According to Gate Petroleum, the truck driver was not seriously injured in the crash that kept traffic detoured for about six hours. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department helped contain the fuel, but had no preliminary estimate on the amount of fuel that leaked.
