There is a critical need right now for more workers in the financial tech industry in Jacksonville, and that's why a local university is launching two new programs to help companies find talent.

Deegan is meeting with 50 companies and agencies to promote the city. Most of it deals with financial technology, known as “Fintech.”

Ron DeSantis and other state leaders visited the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce on Monday to announced several initiatives that encourage financial technology companies -- known in the industry as FinTech -- to start, relocate or expand in Florida.
