Prosecutors with the State Attorney’s Office will seek the death penalty for a Jacksonville man accused of murder in the death of a 22-month-old girl, according to the court portal.

A Jacksonville couple was arrested on Thursday in connection with the murder of a 22-month-old girl who died in September 2024, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

A newly released arrest warrant accusing a Jacksonville mother and her boyfriend of child neglect has revealed more details about what led to the death of 22-month-old Zamora Foe.

In a photo Goodwin took, a desk is seen over a toilet and a chair next to the sink. She said, in the past, she's had no problems with the school district meeting her son's educational needs. Bellingham School District officials would not speak on camera but provided a statement. Lucas says he "never" wants to go back to the school, because, he says, "They put me in a bathroom."
