Morris tore his left ACL on Saturday during Swansea’s 4-1 loss at Huddersfield. Seattle announced Morris will return to the United States to prepare for surgery, which will be done by Dr. Bert Mandelbaum in Santa Monica, California. Morris missed a year of action after tearing his right ACL during Seattle's CONCACAF Champions League match at El Salvador's Santa Tecla on Feb. 22, 2018.

NEW YORK CONCACAF is changing its World Cup qualifying hexagonal to an octagonal in response to the coronavirus pandemic and delaying the start until next June. CONCACAFs other 30 nations will compete for three additional spots in the final round. By staying with a large total of teams in the final round, CONCACAF ensured two high-profile, lucrative qualifiers between the U.S. and Mexico. Teams not in the hexagonal would have competed for the right to represent CONCACAF in an intercontinental playoff. The top three teams in the octagonal qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the fourth-place nation advances to an intercontinental playoff in June 2022.
