Browns missing key players as they prepare for 5-0 Cards
Keeping slippery Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray under control is a difficult challenge for any defense — even in the best of circumstances. Cleveland had an all-star roster of injured players not practicing Wednesday as it began preparing for Murray and the unbeaten Cardinals (5-0). NFL sacks leader Myles Garrett, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt were among a group of key Cleveland players kept off the field because of injuries.news.yahoo.com
Jaguars, with shot to move to 2-0, eager to end slide in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Starting 2-0 is an opportunity the Tennessee Titans simply haven’t seized in a very long time. “So, yeah, I think it’s a big game for us, it’s a big game because it’s a divisional game. Jack and Jones led the way Sunday as Jacksonville held Indy to 88 yards rushing — more than 50 yards under what it allowed last year. Henry also is averaging 104.3 yards rushing against AFC South teams since becoming the starter in 2018. His 1,251 yards rushing inside the division lead the NFL in that time, a total that includes 498 yards rushing against the Jaguars.
Titans' Henry faces toughest foe and friend Monday in Denver
The Titans traded Casey to Denver this offseason in a salary dump, clearing $11 million in cap space by sending the five-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman to Denver for a seventh-round draft choice. Even with Casey on his side last year, Henry was stifled in a 16-0 loss at Denver, gaining just 28 yards on 15 carries. That was easily the low point in a season in which Henry ran for an NFL-best 1,540 yards. “Having a player of his caliber and his leadership not be out there with us is definitely going to be a blow to the team," Casey said. “He’s a game wrecker,” Henry said.

The Titans did not announce the terms Sunday. 1 overall pick of 2014, Clowney went into free agency looking for a mega-contract that never came calling. The pandemic shut down travel for physicals, and Clowney didn't visit anyone once the NFL allowed free agents to meet teams in person. Lewan wrote Thursday: We can do this to other peoples teams now.We have an offer out to JD, and we've talked to both him and his agent," Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Friday when talking to reporters.
Commentary: My expectations for Jaguars in 2019
Getty ImagesJACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jaguars open 2019 on Sunday when they host the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the favorites to make the Super Bowl. After signing Nick Foles, and when the schedule came out, I thought this team looked like an 8-8 team. Even with the starters limited in the preseason, the Jaguars' lack of depth at offensive tackle was evident. The locker room was exactly what you would like. Once things started to go bad, the locker room fell apart.
