At Duck Donuts on Old St. Augustine Road, delicious goodies are served up every day. But something else is being served up as well: holiday cheer for our local seniors.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Christmas may be just weeks away, but there’s still time to help spread Christmas cheer to some of our most vulnerable this holiday season. Gifts can be purchased and donated to local senior citizens through Home Instead’s “Be a Santa to a Senior” program. As Jennifer Hill with Home Instead explains, the goal is to help seniors feel loved on Christmas. “‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ is a way that we give back to seniors that are low income or perhaps don’t have any support,” Hill said. Home Instead provides home care services for area senior citizens in both private homes and communities.
