Jonah Heim and Nate Lowe had two-run homers among their three hits apiece, Kolby Allard pitched five scoreless innings of five-hit ball and the Texas Rangers emphatically snapped their 16-game road losing streak with a 12-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Oakland was off Monday before opening an interleague series at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday. Oakland is in the playoffs for a third straight year and the sixth time in nine seasons. Houston won a major league-best 107 games last season but lost to Washington in the World Series.
