(AP Photo/Eric Risberg)PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – For all the stunning views at Pebble Beach that can be so soothing, Daniel Berger couldn't escape the tension when he arrived at the final hole Sunday in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Off to his right was out-of-bounds markers below a row of hedges, where Berger hit his drive on Saturday that led to double bogey. Berger capped it off with an eagle putt for a 7-under 65 and a two-shot victory over Maverick McNealy. This was the second time this week he holed out from the fairway, and now he is on the cusp of winning again. This is the second straight week Spieth has had at least a share of the lead. Spieth didn’t have to contend with what he predicted to be a “mean” day at Pebble Beach.

(AP Photo/Gene J. Puskar)TOLEDO, Ohio Danielle Kang was away from the LPGA Tour for six months during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is not to suggest she was without competition. It paid off Sunday when Kang closed with a 2-under 70 and held on for a one-shot victory over Celine Boutier in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Inverness, the first LPGA Tour event since February. I made sure I played golf as much as I did normally, not because I had to but because I wanted to, Kang said. The LPGA Tour stays in northeast Ohio next week for the Marathon Classic.
