"I can accept that the life I've chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. Her split from Hemsworth was announced on Aug. 10, after less than a year of marriage. I've said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will." Hemsworth said on Instagram that he wishes Cyrus "nothing but health and happiness going forward."

(CNN) - A little over a week after announcing their separation, actor Liam Hemsworth has filed for divorce from singer Miley Cyrus. Hemsworth and Cyrus have been married since Dec. 23, 2018. Last year, a Malibu home shared by Cyrus and Hemsworth was lost in a wildfire. Days after they announced their split, Hemsworth posted a gracious message on social media wishing Cyrus "nothing but health and happiness going forward."

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are one step closer to being officially divorced. On Wednesday, 29-year-old Hemsworth filed for divorce from 26-year-old Cyrus, ET can confirm. Hemsworth broke his silence on their split on Aug. 12 with a message on Instagram, noting that he wishes Cyrus well.
