Crazy Town band members bloodied after tour van crashes into moose
Google MapsWAWA, Canada (CNN) - Members of the early 2000s rap-rock group Crazy Town were bloodied but safe after their tour van smashed into a moose in Ontario, Canada on Wednesday night. Crazy Town, known for its hit 2000 song "Butterfly," hit the moose while traveling on Route 17 on the way to a show in Sudbury for Halloween. Binzer also posted a photo of band members' bloodied faces and in neck braces in an ambulance. "The moose unfortunately was killed instantly and we all just feel horrible about it," the band said on Facebook. Carlo Berardi said the crash occurred about 25 miles south of Wawa, Ontario at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Wife of 'Shark Tank' star Kevin O'Leary charged in fatal boat crash
(CNN) - Linda O' Leary, wife of entrepreneur and 'Shark Tank' star Kevin O'Leary, has been charged with "careless operation of a vessel" for her role in a fatal boat crash in Ontario, Canada, last month, according to police. Three other passengers were injured, including one on the O'Leary boat, according to police. Carolle Dionne told CNN that the maximum penalty for the regulatory charge is 18 months in prison or a $1 million dollar (CAD) fine. His agent, Jay Sures, last month said that Linda O'Leary was given a DUI test, which she reportedly passed. Wonderful on "Shark Tank," O'Leary co-founded the software Softkey, now known as The Learning Company.
Driver charged with using case of beer as booster seat for 2-year-old
Google MapsPolice in Ontario, Canada, pulled over a driver after spotting a 2-year-old riding shotgun -- strapped to a case of beer doubling as a booster seat. The driver was pulled over Wednesday near North Perth, about 100 miles west of Toronto, Ontario Provincial Police West said on Twitter. The driver's creative attempt to fashion an improvised child booster seat earned more than a wag of the finger. Police say the law requires children under 40 pounds to be secured in a child car seat and children under the age of 8 and 80 pounds require a booster seat. In a separate tweet, police said the case of beer was factory sealed, so the driver was not in violation of open container laws.
