The Fernandina Beach City Commission deadlocked 2-2 during a recent meeting, failing to advance a motion to reconsider its decision to end the city’s paid parking program. The split vote leaves the contract termination with parking vendor One Parking in place, with the program set to end Nov. 18.

The City of Fernandina Beach is ending its downtown paid parking program following the results of a special election held Aug. 18.
