The first day of the college football early signing period is off and running.

It’s a big week for Florida on and off the field. Saturday, the Gators take on the number one Georgia Bulldogs, but the celebrations have already started in recruiting as Florida has flipped OL Roderick Kearney from rival Florida State.

Since 2006, only two players from Clay County high schools had earned a spot in the Under Armour All-America game. Now, add Orange Park offensive tackle Roderick Kearney to the list.

News4JAX hands out a list of questions to high school football players before the start of every season covering a variety of topics. This year, we received responses from nearly 110 players. Players are asked to not vote for their own team or teammates on select questions. This is what they had to tell us.
