Florida has fired defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and offensive line coach John Hevesy.

Florida’s defense was historically bad last season, so dreadful at times that fans were clamoring to fire everyone.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida coach Dan Mullen didn’t get a raise or an extension after his team’s 11-2 finish last season. Quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson, who has since been promoted to offensive coordinator, and defensive line coach David Turner got $100,000 more each. Hevesy also coaches the team’s offensive line, while Gonzales works with receivers. Running backs coach/special teams coordinator Greg Knox got a $45,000 bump to $485,000. Tight ends coach Tim Brewster joined the staff in February and signed a two-year deal worth $485,000 annually.
