Though less common, there are even more symptoms: speech problems, swallowing problems, tremors, seizures, breathing problems and hearing loss. Selma Blair revealed a new appearance on Friday after completing a "banner day" of treatment for her multiple sclerosis. The actress, who has been candid about her life with the condition, opened up again to her follows in an emotional Instagram post. Sharing a photo of herself in the hospital, she showed her shaved head and the new walking bike that helps her get around. "Today is a banner day," Blair wrote. Blair first spoke about her diagnosis in an Instagram post in October, writing, "I am disabled.

Blair ended her post by referencing her son Arthur's eighth birthday. Prior to debuting her bald head, Blair posted a photo of Arthur cutting off her hair alongside an emotional post lamenting that she wouldn't be by his side on his birthday. Blair continued her caption by describing her "painful induced labor" with Arthur, whom she shares with her ex Jason Bleick, in 2011. Blair concluded her post by detailing how much her son has grown over the years and marveling at the support he lends throughout her MS battle.

(CNN) - When it comes to living with multiple sclerosis, Selma Blair is getting by with a little help from her friends. The single mom of 8-year-old Arthur said longtime friends have rallied around her, including her "Cruel Intentions" costar Sarah Michelle Gellar and actress Jaime King. Blair, 47, went public last October with her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, which affects the central nervous system. Blair said Gellar started a meal train in which other stars provide meals for Blair and her son.

Selma Blair is getting a lot of support since her MS diagnosis last year. "We have a flexible custody arrangement and Jason is a huge part of Arthurs life," Blair tells People of Bleik, whom she dated from 2010 to 2012. Im really proud of us." As for her son, Blair says that "he's had to endure a lot; he's seen a lot," but nevertheless remains a constant source of love and support to her. Though she's had to adapt her life since her diagnosis, Blair revealed that she still makes it a point to play with Arthur -- even if the games are a little different.
