Sporting JAX, the area’s newest professional sports franchise, took the wraps off its much-anticipated stadium plans on Monday, announcing that the soccer club will plant its permanent home in the Town Center area.

Pro soccer is scheduled to return to Northeast Florida in two years when the USL men's and women's teams begin playing. It will be the first time for a pro women's team in town.
