Tiger King star Carole Baskin to join Dancing With the Stars
Like all cool cats and kittens, Carole Baskin is going to Dancing With the Stars.The reality TV star who became a pop culture sensation with Netflixs docuseries Tiger King is joining the new crop of celebrity dancers that includes TV and film actress Anne Heche, former NBA star Charles Oakley and Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean. On the Netflix series Tiger King, Baskin, who owns a big cat refuge, sought to shut down Joseph Maldonado-Passages for-profit breeding of big cats. In June, a federal judge awarded Baskin ownership of the private Oklahoma zoo run by Maldonado-Passage. Others slated to appear on the dancing show are cheer team coach Monica Aldama, Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe, NFL star Vernon Davis, actress Skai Jackson, actress Justina Machado, TV host Jeannie Mai, Jesse Metcalfe, rapper Nelly, TV host Nev Schulman, real estate agent Chrishell Stause and Olympian Johnny Weir. Supermodel and businesswoman Tyra Banks will host the new season after longtime co-host Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announced their exits from the series in July.

'Dancing With the Stars' Executive Producer Reveals New Live Voting Element
During the dance competition shows panel at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Friday, executive producer Andrew Llinares revealed a change in the voting process. which prompted Bergeron to ask Llinares how the live voting element will affect viewers on Pacific time. Earlier in the panel, while discussing the unique tie-in DWTS has with Disney, Llinares also revealed the date of this season's Disney night. "You want the whole show to be magic, especially for Disney night. "Weve got a great and diverse cast," Llinares told ET in a statement at the time.

Staffers unhappy with Spicer being on 'Dancing with the Stars'
CNN image(CNN) - Tom Bergeron isn't the only person who's unhappy about the casting of Sean Spicer on "Dancing With the Stars." Some staffers at ABC News are "up in arms," as one source put it, over the decision by ABC's entertainment division. The network is casting the former White House press secretary, best known for his obfuscation on behalf of President Trump, for what's supposed to be a delightful dance-off. But for "GMA" to lean into it -- by setting up a faux White House podium for his intro on Wednesday -- is problematic. Dancing With the Stars co-host Tom Bergeron is throwing shade at the recent announcement that former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has joined the recent cast. The season 28 cast was announced Wednesday morning on Good Morning America. Among the names was Spicer, which caused much shock and awe. Bergeron later took to Twitter Wednesday afternoon to subtly protest the decision, though he did not name Spicer specifically. Other members of the new cast include Christie Brinkley, The Office star Kate Flannery, Lamar Odom and James Van Der Beek.
