'This Is Us,' 'black-ish' salutes set for Paley TV festival

“This Is Us,” “black-ish” and “Better Call Saul” are among the shows to be saluted at the Paley Center for Media’s annual TV festival.

New this week: Billie Eilish, Billie Holiday and Superman

Ad— Based on Johann Hari’s 2015 book, “Chasing the Scream: The First and Last Days of the War on Drugs,” Lee Daniels' “The United States vs. Billie Holiday” chronicles the legendary jazz singer's addiction and activism. Andra Day, who's nominated for a Golden Globe, plays Holiday in the biopic, which premieres Friday on Hulu. ET at the Amazon Music Twitch channel and will feature music from the group’s new album, “Life Rolls On,” released on Feb. 12.

'Superman & Lois' Series in Early Stages at The CW

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a new Superman & Lois series! Tulloch echoed Hoechlin's excitement, writing alongside an outlet's coverage of the news, "@tylerhoechlin and I are so happy that we can finally talk about this project!!! Last month, ET spoke with Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star Dean Cain about the possibility of returning to the superhero role alongside former co-star Teri Hatcher. The show ended with Lois and Clark mysteriously being gifted with an unknown baby. Since, Superman and Lois' relationship was also explored on Smallville, which aired from 2001 to 2011.

'Crisis on Infinite Earths': All the On-Set Photos From the Epic CW Crossover

The CW's superhero shows are teaming up for another crossover this year -- one that promises to be more epic than any that have come before. Early casting announcements have revealed that the crossover will involve not one, not two, but three iterations of Clark Kent, aka Superman. Tyler Hoechlin will return in his role as the Supergirl universe's Man of Steel, which he originated in last year's crossover. Filming has already begun on the epic slate of episodes, which means on-set pics from the stars have started to roll in. Tom Welling to Reprise 'Smallville' Role in 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'

There another Superman coming to the Arrowverse crossover! ET confirmed on Thursday that Tom Welling will guest star in the CW's upcoming DC crossover event, "Crisis on Infinite Earths," reprising his Smallville role as Clark Kent. The five-episode event will, among many other things, "reveal what happened to the character almost 10 years after Smallville." So when we first started talking about 'Crisis on Infinite Earths,' our first, second and third priorities were getting Tom to reprise his iconic role as Clark Kent.
