No. 3 Alabama holds on to beat huge underdog LSU, 20-14

Bryce Young passed for 302 yards and No. 3 Alabama’s defense came up with enough big plays for a 20-14 victory over heavy underdog LSU Saturday night.

Corral leads No. 12 Mississippi over Orgeron, LSU 31-17

Matt Corral threw for a touchdown and ran for another, directing No. 12 Mississippi to a 31-point outburst that spanned the second and third quarters to beat lame-duck coach Ed Orgeron and LSU 31-17.

Davis-Price, LSU stun turnover-prone No. 20 Florida, 49-42

Tyrion Davis-Price rushed for an LSU-record 287 yards and three touchdowns, and the Tigers’ banged-up defense produced four interceptions in a 49-42 victory over No. 20 Florida.

No. 20 Florida guarding against giving LSU any more breaks

Florida quarterback Emory Jones says the 20th-ranked Gators aim to play a cleaner game against LSU than the last time the historical rivals met in Gainesville a season ago.

Jones bolsters Heisman case; No. 1 Alabama beats LSU 55-17

1 Alabama used a slew of explosive plays to run away from LSU 55-17 on Saturday night. Jones threw three of his touchdown passes to Louisiana native DeVonta Smith, who went to the same high school as Louisiana Gov. Smith's first two touchdowns went for 65 and 61 yards to cap three-play, 75-yard drives for Alabama (9-0, 9-0 SEC). Each score pulled LSU as close as two touchdowns, but the Tide answered each with the two deep connections between Jones and Smith. LSU: Visits sixth-ranked Florida in a game rescheduled from Oct. 17 because of a COVID-19 outbreak affecting the Gators.

Mizzou's goal-line stand helps beat No. 17 LSU, 45-41

LSU quarterback Myles Brennan throws during the first half of an NCAA college football game against Missouri Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, in Columbia, Mo. – In a game that was dominated by a pair of offenses that seemingly couldn't be stopped, it was the much-maligned Missouri defense that managed to stand tall against No. Myles Brennan, who threw for 430 yards and four TDs, quickly moved LSU the other direction. Really poor showing on defense,” LSU coach Ed Orgeron said. He was 6 of 15 for the rest of the half while LSU managed a single yard on the ground.
