The newly formed Clay County STEM Alliance in Middleburg, Fla., has launched its first competitive robotics team, the 'Robo Runnerz,' under the FIRST Tech Challenge. Despite not having secured all necessary equipment, the student-led team, supported by adult mentors, will participate in a regional scrimmage to gain experience and foster skills like resilience and teamwork, while the Alliance seeks community support and sponsorship to overcome financial barriers to STEM education.
