A Belgian man who spends time caring for a Jacksonville World War II soldier's grave is looking to connect with their relatives.
James Crider, who is 96 years old, served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. He said one of his last wishes was to experience being on a Navy destroyer. That became reality Friday at Naval Station Mayport. But there was one thing that made the experience even more meaningful.

The oldest known U.S. veteran of WWII celebrated his 110th birthday surrounded by relics of his past. Lawrence Brooks of New Orleans celebrated the big milestone at the National WWII Museum with family, supporters, tons of birthday treats and even a serenade from a musical trio who performed war classics. "I have made it, and I'm glad to be here, Brooks told APTN. Some of them I want to remember, and some of them I don't want to remember, he recalled. I said, Daddy how long you think youre going to live? his daughter Vanessa Brooks joked.
