Review: ‘Coming 2 America’ is just the ticket in a tough year
★★★★½ out of 5 -- Rated: PG-13 -- Run time: 1 hour, 50 minutes (Available now on Amazon Prime Video streaming)There’s always a bit of nervous apprehension when actors try to revisit a favorite old character. There’s even a nod to two stars from the Murphy movie, “Trading Places” that involves SNL’s Colin Jost. Carter designed the costumes of both “Black Panther” and “Coming 2 America.” Both were shot in Atlanta.

'Dolemite Is My Name': Eddie Murphy Is a Karate-Chopping Showman in First Trailer
On Monday, Netflix dropped the first trailer for the legendary funnyman's new biopic project, Dolemite Is My Name, showcasing a role for the ages. He decides to invent Dolemite, a well-dressed, larger-than-life character who he hopes will take him to the top. Next, Moore and his pals set out on a mission to make movies that center on his new persona. In Cohen's 2012 memoir, Most Talkative: Stories From the Front Line of Pop Culture, Cohen wrote about being traumatized while watching Murphy "ridiculing gay people" during a stand-up show in 1985. Burgess wrote, presumably about Cohen.
