The developer for the new surf park officially closed on the 45-acre site in Jacksonville’s eTown community that would bring big waves to the city.

A new surf park planned in Jacksonville’s eTown development is one step closer to becoming a reality after the City Council gave its final approval on Tuesday.

According to News4JAX news partner The Jax Daily Record, the Davis family is starting long-term planning to use more than 11,000 acres of property on Jacksonville's Southside.
