Pedestrian struck, killed on US 1 in Callahan

A pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old from Green Cove Springs struck a man walking on U.S. 1 at Cushman Road in Callahan on Wednesday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 41-year-old pedestrian died.
Troopers said the pedestrian was from Jacksonville.
The FHP report does not say if the driver would face any charges. The crash is still under investigation.
