Man, woman killed when van flips, slams into tree on I-10 in Baker County

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. – Two people are dead after an overnight crash on I-10 eastbound in Baker County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash was reported just after 1 a.m. Tuesday.

According to troopers, the van veered left off I-10 eastbound and then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to spin and flip, eventually slamming into a tree on the right shoulder of the highway.
The van involved in the crash was driven by a 65-year-old man who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, according to FHP. His passenger, a 43-year-old woman, was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
Both died at the scene.
