A 24-year-old man died Wednesday morning after his car slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer on Southwest County Road 227 in Bradford County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said the semi was turning right onto SW CR 227 from a private logging road driveway west of SW 70th Avenue around 5 a.m. Wednesday, when a car headed east hit the back of the semi’s trailer.

The driver of the car was wearing a seat belt but suffered fatal injuries, FHP said.
The 42-year-old driver of the semi was not hurt.
