Woman dies when truck flips into treeline in Columbia County: FHP

FORT WHITE, Fla. – A 56-year-old woman died Thursday night in Columbia County when her truck flipped and hit several trees along U.S. 27 in Fort White, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to the crash report, the woman was headed west on US 27 around 8:30 p.m. when she veered off the road to the left near Southwest Junction Road.

Her pickup truck flipped onto its roof, smashing into multiple trees along the highway, troopers said.

The driver died at the scene. According to the report, she was not wearing a seat belt.
