Driver dies when truck hits concrete light pole in Starbucks parking lot at San Jose and University boulevards, JSO says (WJXT)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A driver died early Monday morning when their truck ran over a curb into the parking lot of a Starbucks on San Jose Boulevard and slammed into a light pole, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Robert Hungerford with JSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit said that around 2 a.m., a GMC Denali was headed west on University Boulevard when it ran off the roadway at the intersection with San Jose Boulevard.
Driver dies when truck hits concrete light pole in Starbucks parking lot at San Jose and University boulevards, JSO says (WJXT) The truck plowed over a curb into the parking lot of a Starbucks, where it hit a concrete light pole and burst into flames, Hungerford said.
The driver died at the scene.
This marks the 41st traffic fatality in Duval County this year.
