A semi-truck caught fire early Monday morning on Heckscher Drive eastbound near Interstate 295, shutting down all lanes in the area. (Florida Department of Transportation)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. â A semi-truck caught fire early Monday morning on Heckscher Drive eastbound near Interstate 295; one lane is open.
The Jacksonville Sheriffâs Office is on scene. The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m., and drivers should expect major traffic delays while crews work to clear the roadway.
Itâs not yet clear what caused the fire or whether anyone was injured. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
