Crash blocks 2 left lanes on I-295 southbound near San Jose Blvd, FHP says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A major crash with injuries is causing significant traffic issues early Thursday on Interstate 295 southbound in Duval County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP reports the crash is on I-295 W South, before the San Jose Boulevard area near Mile Marker 3–4, where two left lanes are blocked. FHP also reported emergency vehicles on scene and a roadblock/express lane impact in the area.

Drivers can exit at San Jose Boulevard and take Loretto Road to Old St. Augustine Road to get back onto I-295.

Drivers should also expect delays and consider alternate routes until lanes reopen.
