Storm damages hangar roof at Brunswick Golden Isles Airport, nonprofit asking for help

Strong storms caused damage to a hangar roof at Brunswick Golden Isles Airport on Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts topping 50 miles per hour were reported in the area as a storm passed through Sunday evening. Wings of Grace Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization with offices inside the hangar, posted photos of the damage on social media and put out a call for help. “Hoping the airport has insurance that can covers the structure for weather damage, but they will not cover the inside,” the organization wrote on Facebook. “Needing volunteers to help us dry it out and do repairs on damage caused and will continue to be caused by all the water, until we can stop water.”
