School resource officers take part in hands-on drills at annual conference in Jacksonville

The Florida Association of School Resource Officers held its annual conference in Jacksonville this week for the first time since 1990. Officers say the conference matters because it’s about training for worst-case scenarios, but also doing the everyday work that can keep situations from escalating.
