Vote 2026 Election Results (WJXT)

All Nassau County voters had the two commission races and the school board race on their ballot. Voters in Fernandina Beach also faced choices on a city commission seat and a citizen initiative ordinance regarding the future of paid parking in the historic downtown district.

Fernandina Beach Paid Parking Referendum

Ballot question: "The City of Fernandina Beach shall not implement paid parking in any designated area, defined as all areas within the City, without majority approval (50% plus one) vote from a public referendum of registered City voters. This ordinance does not prohibit the City from implementing temporary parking measures during special events. Such measures require public notice at such time a special permit is issued and not last longer than 30 days."
