Chilly start, then warmer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Before we get into the weekend forecast, it is another chilly morning. Pre-sunrise hours will be in the 40s inland and mid 50s along area beaches. Skies will have some high clouds, will lead to hazy sunshine throughout the day. Afternoon highs will reach into the 70s, about TEN degrees milder than Thursday’s highs. You will feel the difference, it will also be a “10″ on the Friday Gaughan Gauge. Nice!

Friday evening will also be comfortably cool, dry with light winds and evening temperatures cooling into the 60s just after sunset. Sundown is at 7:59 p.m.

Satur-DAY and Sun-DAY will be very pleasant, not perfect, there will be clouds and breezy, with highs BOTH afternoon very warm 85-88°. Weather will be generally dry.

Forecast models are indicating two rounds of storms to impact Georgia, and one round of storms for Jacksonville. Timing for Georgia will be, round 1, around 5 p.m. and then the bigger, possibly severe round, after 10 p.m.

For Jacksonville, the most likely timing for storms will be after midnight. These could be severe, lots of lightning, gusty winds, possible hail.

Our entire area may also be under a severe storm watch or tornado watch.
